This summer we're putting back out the little boxes - with a UK seasonal theme and celebrating fabulous bees! We love our local honey from the Alveston Bees, so thought this a fitting tribute!
Enjoy a private alpaca experience tailored just for your family or group this summer. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday or simply soaking up the sunny season, we’ll shape the session around your interests—spending quality time with your favourite jpeople and alpacas, including this year’s adorable babies. If you’re curious about alpaca ownership, we’re happy to chat more deeply about their care, husbandry, and the realities of farm life.
The experience takes around 45 to 65 minutes, depending on the group size.

We require one adult for every two children age 4 to 12 years old. Unfortunately this experience is not suitable for children aged 3 and under.
Your children will adore seeing our babies this summer! This experience is for children age 4 to 11 years old. We spend time getting close to the alpacas by feeding them, either with scoops or out of hands - depending on what the young person is comfortable with. We start from behind a fence so the children can build their confidence with the alpacas. We talk about what the alpacas need to keep them healthy and do some of the practical jobs such as raking up old hay and putting fresh hay out. This is a super fun and practical session with the entire focus on the participating children. Supervising adults are very welcome to take photographs of their little ones!
The experience lasts for around 30 to 40 minutes and costs £9 per child. We ask that one adult supervises a maximum of two children. There is no charge for the adult. In busy sessions, we can only allow one adult per two children in to the session. Appropriate footwear (wellies or water proof shoes) and clothing (water-proofs if a chance of rain) are required. Please do not wear open-toe sandals, crocs or flip-flops.

We are excited to be able to offer you both day-time and evening needle felting sessions, both 'open' workshops and 'private' for groups in our Evening Workshops.

It's no secret that the Crafters here LOVE hedgehogs! These dinky hoggies have a fun secret - super soft alpaca fibre spines!
